1. Coverage Universe & Idea Generation

Coverage candidates are identified through systematic screening of public financial disclosures, regulatory filings, macro data releases, and observed pricing dislocations. We do not accept payment or other consideration for initiating coverage of any security or issuer.

2. Fundamental Analysis Framework

All equity research begins with a thorough review of the subject company's publicly available financial statements (10-K, 10-Q, 20-F, or equivalent), supplemented by earnings call transcripts, investor presentations, and publicly available industry data.

2.1 Competitive Positioning

We assess competitive dynamics using a modified Porter's Five Forces framework, evaluating barriers to entry, supplier and buyer power, competitive rivalry, and substitution threat. Economic moat ratings (Wide / Narrow / None) are assigned where evidence supports a structural, durable competitive advantage.

2.2 Management Quality

Capital allocation history, compensation alignment, insider ownership, and track record against stated strategic objectives are assessed qualitatively. No numerical score is assigned without disclosed weighting.

3. Financial Modelling

We construct multi-year income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow models from historical data, extending forward projections over a typical 5–12 year explicit forecast horizon. Key assumptions — revenue growth rates, margin trajectories, capital expenditure, and effective tax rates — are stated explicitly in each report.

4. Valuation

4.1 Discounted Cash Flow

Our primary valuation tool is a three-stage DCF model. The weighted average cost of capital is estimated using the Capital Asset Pricing Model:

Terminal value is computed using the Gordon Growth Model, with long-run growth rates calibrated to nominal GDP projections for the relevant geography. Sensitivity matrices varying discount rate and terminal growth rate by ±50–100 basis points accompany all DCF valuations.

4.2 Relative Valuation

DCF estimates are cross-checked against peer group trading multiples (EV/EBITDA, P/E, P/FCF, EV/Revenue) using a carefully selected comparable set disclosed in each report. Where a security trades at a meaningful premium or discount to peers, we explain the factors we believe account for the divergence.

5. Rating Definitions

• BUY — We expect the security to generate a total return materially in excess of the cost of equity over a 12-month horizon, with a minimum implied upside of 15% from the date of the report.
• HOLD / NEUTRAL — We expect the security to generate a total return broadly in line with the cost of equity over a 12-month horizon.
• SELL / UNDERWEIGHT — We expect the security to underperform the cost of equity over a 12-month horizon, with potential for capital loss.

6. Peer Review & Publication

All reports undergo mandatory peer review by a second qualified analyst before publication. The reviewer is required to challenge material assumptions and flag any methodology deviations. Reports failing peer review are returned for revision before publication.

Post-publication, ratings and price targets are reviewed upon material new information, earnings releases, or at minimum quarterly intervals.

7. Independence

Front Circle Research does not accept compensation from issuers, underwriters, or related parties for research coverage. Analysts are prohibited from holding positions in securities under active coverage. No report reflects the views of any investor, client, or commercial counterparty.
